Matrimony

“The matrimonial covenant, by which a man and a woman establish between themselves a partnership of the whole of life, is by its nature ordered toward the good of the spouses and the procreation and education of offspring; this covenant between baptized persons has been raised by Christ the Lord to the dignity of a sacrament.” Catechism of the Catholic Church

Documents required to get married:
If you are Catholic, the documents needed are baptismal and confirmation certificates.  Church law requires that the baptismal certificate should not have an issuing date older than six months.  Write or phone the Church where you were baptized to obtain a newly-issued certificate.

To Schedule a Wedding, please call our office at (650) 755-9786 at least six months in advance and fill out a request for the Sacrament of Matrimony Form and submit it to the office.
