What We Do
Members of the Society are known as "Vincentians," after our patron, St. Vincent de Paul. Vincentians are organized into "Conferences," a group of volunteers who strive to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to those in need. It is this personalized involvement that makes the work of the Society unique. Type of assistance include: food, rent, utilities, homeless shelters, summer camp, emergency transportation, back-to-school supplies/uniforms, furniture, education, disaster relief, elder visit. "No work of charity is foreign to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul."
Meetings
We meet every second Saturday at 12:30 PM in the OLPH Jubilee Hall. Our meeting includes prayer, scripture reading, faith sharing, reporting of home visits, and planning upcoming activities.
After Jesus was baptized, he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and a voice was heard "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased." As we give to the poor, we also can hear these same words.
As you offer your gift to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, know that you are a sign of God's love to those who are suffering and you give them reason to believe and to trust.
Help us help others by becoming a volunteer.
We need volunteers in many different areas; all are welcome!
